Russian Zenit and Bauyrzhan Islamkhan Negotiate Contract

The 26-year-old Kazakh football player reached a provisional arrangement with Saint Petersburg’s football team. The contract between Islamkhan and Zenit might be signed very soon during a training session that the Russian team will hold in Qatar.

Islamkhan already tried to join another Russian team in 2013. He signed a contract with Kuban from Krasnodar but never participated in official matches for this team.

In the last six years, Islamkhan played for the Kairat club from Almaty. His contract expired in December 2019. He did not prolong it and dropped the club as a free agent with no payments. As a midfielder, Islamkhan has played in 43 matches for the Kazakhstan national team and scored three goals.

According to Transermarkt, the value of Islamkhan is about €3 million. This is the highest amount during his career as a player.
