Nursultan Nazarbayev Calls on Kazakhstan for Endurance and Composure

Nursultan Nazarbayev, the first President of Kazakhstan, made an appeal to the citizens of the country, wishing them health and prosperity and calling on them for endurance and composure, Elbasy.kz says. 

In his appeal, Nazarbayev noted that «life itself and the current situation confirm that our course for integration and alliance turned out to be the only correct one.»

According to him, Kazakhstani people will overcome this tribulation (the spread of coronavirus): 

«Thanks to the tenacity of our people, their strong will and abiding faith in their strength that always comes in the hour of dire need. We have everything to achieve that: finances, material resources, technical equipment, and food supplies. So there are no reasons to lose your head and panic,» he wrote. 

Nazarbayev also believes that all people should take special care and responsibility for their own lives and health and those of their closest ones, since the nation’s health is a fundamental part of state security. 

The ex-president appealed to business owners and said that it was their turn to ask themselves: «What can I do for my country?» 

«Following my request, business owners are helping their compatriots, providing financial and material help. I hope that this good deed will continue further. Wellbeing and prosperity are where there’s a continuity of generations and traditions. This sacred principle should be in the heart and soul of every Kazakhstan citizen. I have been enormously blessed to lead a people that even in the hardest times never lost its dignity and has always stood out for its unity, kindness, generosity and compassion. That’s why in this difficult situation I express gratitude to all of my wise and generous people,» he said.
