The country is close to Gambia and Sri-Lanka

Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) ranked 180 countries on a scale from 0 to 100. The lower the score, the more corrupt a country is considered to be.

The 2021 index scored Kazakhstan 37 while last year the country scored 38.

The average score of the 2021 CPI was 43 out of 100. The vast majority of countries (131) hasn’t achieved any noticeable progress in the fight against corruption for the last decade. About 2/3 of countries scored lower than 50 out of 100 which is clear evidence of how deep the problem of corruption is in these countries. Moreover, 27 countries hit a record low.

The leader of the index is Denmark with 88 scores out of 100. The last position holds South Sudan with a score of 11/100.
