Kazakhstan’s President Removes Samat Abish from KNB

Samit Abish, nephew of the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, has been discharged from office, according to Akorda, the official office of the president.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed an official edict even though KNB announced on last Friday that Samit Abish is still the first deputy of KNB and is on a vacation.

«According to the president’s decision, Samit Abish has been discharged from the office of the first deputy of the Committee for National Security (KNB) of the Republic of Kazakhstan,» the agency said in an official statement.
