The country now is a more popular destination than Armenia and Turkey

People in Russia started actively buying air tickets to Uzbekistan, according to the Kommersant edition.

According to the Tutu.ru website, in November 87.6% of Russian tourists are going to travel inside the country. However, 12.3% want to travel abroad. Among those people are going to visit Uzbekistan (16.6%), Armenia (14.1%), and Turkey (13.5%). Russian tourists demonstrate the lowest interest towards destinations such as Cyprus (3%), Kazakhstan (2.8%), and Egypt (1%).

The high demand for air tickets is based on long holidays approved by President Vladimir Putin that will last from October 30 to November 7 due to the situation with COVID-19. People want to travel even though the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing or just Rospotrebnadzor recommends people stay home.

On November 15, a Russian airline Red Wings is going to start regular frequency from Rostov-on-Don to Tashkent.
